A heart murmur is an unusual sound that can be heard with a stethoscope when listening to a cat’s heartbeat, and are a result of unstable blood flow in the heart. The condition is relatively common among young kittens and tend to stop when the cats are 4 – 5 months old. However, it can also be caused by other underlying conditions.
